In-Home Respite Care |
The purpose of this program is to give relief to the
caregiver and decrease the stress of providing around-the-clock care
to an individual with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Each caregiver’s
needs are carefully evaluated and a care plan is individually tailored
to meet specific needs. In-Home Respite Care is provided within
the client's home environment by staff members specially trained and
experienced in caring for individuals with memory loss.
Respite Care Services:
- Incorporate activities designed to stimulate mental and physical
health
- Provide a safe, nurturing and secure environment within the home
setting
- Allow clients to continue functioning at the highest level possible,
with trained supervision and guidance.
- Include assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing,
dressing, meal preparation and more.
Staff members are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who maintain up-to-date
CPR and First Aid certification and complete a 40-hour orientation period.
Staff also complete 10 hours of continuing education each year. |
