As a non-profit organization, the Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer’s Care depends in part on grants as well as donations from the corporate sector and individuals for its support.  These donations help provide scholarships for clients who otherwise would not be able to come to the center.  Gifts also fund projects to refurbish the center and provide our clients the most homelike surroundings possible. 

In addition to our bi-annual fund-raising events, we also do two direct mailings each year at Thanksgiving and Mother’s Day/Father’s Day to remind our friends of giving opportunities.  A gift honoring the memory of a loved one, friend or associate offers an appropriate expression of your sympathy to grieving families. Families often choose to establish a memorial fund to benefit the Jud C. Hickey Center in memory of a loved one who had Alzheimer’s disease or was a client at the center. Likewise, gifts honoring birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or other special occasions are excellent alternatives to traditional giving. The family of the person being memorialized or the person being honored receives an acknowledgment card listing the donor's name. The amount of the gift is always kept confidential. The donor also receives a gift acknowledgment card.
